Initially, Radio Bamberg came to us looking for a new, reliable alternative to their old SIP account provider. After a few initial tests, the team of Radio Bamberg was quickly convinced of the quality and reliability of our SIP services and support team. Not long after, they made the next step and asked for new SIP call platform, which they found in the new fernReport. The SIP server has already performed very well for them during the recent European Championships (congratulations to Spain, by the way!) for their live reports from the fan mile. After their first successful uses of the fernReport with its basic configuration, they’re now getting deeper into customizing its configuration for their specific needs.

The new fernReport is a revolutionary next-generation reporter audio codec designed for use “in the field”. This includes reporting and live commentary, as well as any operation that benefits from control and monitoring directly at the audio codec. It is a compact solution that combines the aixtream software with the RasPad 3, a portable Raspberry Pi tablet.
